About the Department
The Department of Plant and Animal Production at Anamur Vocational School trains qualified technical personnel needed by the sector by leveraging Turkey's agricultural production potential. The program offers practical education in plant production (fruit growing, vegetable growing, greenhouse agriculture, field crops), animal production (dairy farming, small ruminant husbandry, beekeeping), and agricultural support fields (plant protection, irrigation, soil science). Anamur's subtropical climate and intensive agricultural activities (bananas, citrus fruits, greenhouse vegetable growing) provide students with the opportunity to gain experience in real production environments. Through mandatory internship practice, students develop their professional skills at agricultural enterprises. International education opportunities are also offered through the Erasmus exchange program.

Department of Plant and Animal Production graduates find employment opportunities in agricultural enterprises, greenhouse companies, animal husbandry facilities, agricultural cooperatives, nurseries, food processing plants, and public institutions. Additionally, there is the opportunity to continue with bachelor's degree programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
