About the Department

Our department was opened within the School of Applied Technology and Management and began operating by admitting students in the same academic year. It currently continues its education with three faculty members holding doctorates and one lecturer. Courses are held in the classrooms of the School of Applied Technology and Management, and applied computer courses are carried out in two computer laboratories. Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded an undergraduate diploma in Information Systems and Technologies; the condition for graduation is completing the courses in the program (a total of 240 ECTS) with a weighted grade average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00. The general aim of our department is to train personnel who, by closely following developments in information systems and software technologies, have the knowledge and skills to manage computer systems, produce solutions and organize information flow in institutions and businesses, and to provide these organizations with installation and support services in computer hardware and software through applied projects.
