About the Department

Establishment

Erdemli Vocational School began its educational activities in 1994 by accepting students for the Computer Programming and Business Management programs opened in the Alata district of Erdemli. Over time, the program diversity has increased, with Accounting and Tax Applications added in 1995, Banking and Insurance in 1997, and Tourism Animation in 2008, bringing the total to five different programs. From the 2006-2007 academic year onward, evening programs were offered in the Computer Technologies and Programming, Business Management, Accounting and Tax Applications programs, and in 2008, the Banking and Insurance program. Today, our school continues its educational activities in a new building allocated by our university, located in the heart of the Erdemli district. Our department, which began accepting students in 1996, has a total enrollment of 191 students, 118 female and 73 male, in the 2025-2026 academic year.

The department has one faculty member, two teaching staff, and two administrative staff. The school building, which operates on a land and building complex allocated by the Erdemli Municipality, is located close to the city center and the district center. This provides easy access to the school, and thanks to the adequate dormitory facilities, most students do not experience housing problems. Our department has numerous classrooms and two computer laboratories.
