About the Department

Industrial Design is a design discipline concerned with shaping products used in everyday life by integrating user needs, manufacturing capabilities, and aesthetic values. Students develop creative problem-solving skills by combining design theory with studio practice.

They can be employed as product designers, user experience designers, CAD modeling specialists, design researchers, color and materials specialists, packaging designers, and furniture designers in the private sector. They can serve as design specialists at public institutions, municipal design departments, or TÜBİTAK research projects.
