About the Department

Our Vision: To become a department renowned for new technologies in the field of computer engineering and to train graduates who transform these technologies into social benefits. Our Mission: to continuously update the department with world-class content in light of new technologies based on practical and theoretical knowledge; to train graduates who question, research, produce and transform their knowledge into social benefits by increasing the use of active educational tools; and to train engineers who have adopted lifelong learning as their guide with respect to professional, ethical and national issues. General Information / History: The Computer Engineering Department was opened in 1994, admitted its first students in the 1996-1997 academic year, and produced its first graduates in the 1999-2000 academic year. It admitted 30 students each year through the ÖSS exam until the 2006-2007 academic year. By decision of the Higher Education Council, no students were admitted to the undergraduate program between 2007 and 2015. Starting from the 2015-2016 academic year, it resumed admitting undergraduate students and began its education activities.
