About the Department
Child Development is an interdisciplinary health sciences field that scientifically examines, assesses, and supports individuals' physical, cognitive, language, social, and emotional development processes from the prenatal period through the end of adolescence. Students acquire developmental theories, observation and assessment techniques, and practical skills together.
The program offers comprehensive education in normal developmental processes as well as developmental risk factors, children with special needs, early intervention programs, and family-centered service models.
