About the Department
The Department of Coaching Education at the Faculty of Sport Sciences trains coaches who can plan and implement training programs with scientific approaches, monitor athlete development, and conduct performance analysis. The program has an interdisciplinary curriculum covering the fundamental areas of sport sciences. Students receive practical training in various sport disciplines alongside theoretical courses including training science, exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology, motor learning and development, sport nutrition, performance analysis, and sport injuries. The program offers specialization opportunities in both team sports and individual sport disciplines. International education opportunities are also available through the Erasmus exchange program.
Career Opportunities
Coaching Education graduates can serve as coaches in sport clubs, federations, youth and sport directorates, private sport facilities, fitness centers, and sport academies. Additionally, graduate education opens the path to an academic career.
