About the Department
The Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching within the Faculty of Sport Sciences trains teachers who can plan, implement, and evaluate physical education and sports classes from preschool through secondary education level. The program features an interdisciplinary curriculum combining educational sciences and sport sciences.
Students take sport science courses such as movement education, sports pedagogy, motor development, coaching knowledge, sports psychology, and physiology, alongside educational science courses including principles and methods of teaching, measurement-evaluation, educational psychology, and classroom management. School experience and teaching practice courses directly prepare students for the profession. Study abroad opportunities are also available through the Erasmus exchange program.
