About the Department

General Introduction: The Recreation Management Department is the newest department of the Faculty of Tourism and began admitting students for the first time in the 2021-2022 academic year. Students are admitted from the verbal (Sözel) score type. The department currently has two professors, three associate professors, one assistant professor, two lecturers and two research assistants, and it also offers master's and doctoral programs in the Recreation Management field. Mission: Our fundamental mission is to train professionals who have the skills to plan, conduct and evaluate physical, social and cultural activities; who have developed leadership, entrepreneurship and organizational competencies; who use technology effectively, have strong communication skills, and manage natural and cultural resources sustainably; and, through individuals who master the dynamics of the tourism sector and are competitive at national and international levels, to increase society's quality of life and provide the sector with qualified human resources.
