Mersin University took a significant step in 2025, in line with its innovative vision and mission to meet the needs of the age. Following a decision by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the "Digital Transformation Electronics" program was officially launched and is preparing to accept students for the first time in the 2025-2026 academic year. The program aims to provide qualified human resources to the sector by focusing on the transformation of electronic technologies in today's rapidly accelerating digitalization. Both industrial collaboration and academic knowledge were prioritized throughout the establishment process, and the curriculum is supported by applied courses at international standards. In this respect, the program aims to provide not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills.

The main aims and objectives of the program are to provide students with theoretical and practical skills in the integration of electronics and digital technologies. By focusing on fundamental topics such as electronic circuit design, digital systems, programmable logic controllers, and microprocessors, it prepares students for today's digital transformation demands.
