About the Department
Program Learning Outcomes
1 Have knowledge of basic mathematics and science.
2 Know the rules of drawing and designing of machine parts, design properly and design and analyze a system.
3 Design machine parts using softwares.
4 Know the working principles of CNC and prepare production programmes for machine parts manufacturing using CAD/CAM softwares.
5 Arrange the production, prepare process card, set and control the distribution of tasks.
6 Have knowledge and information on the problems of that age.
7 Follow further developments in CAD-CAM.
8 Understand and realize the requirement of life long learning.
9 Know production methods and select the most appropriate method.
10 Recognize the materials, decide on methods of heat treatments and choose appropriate material for manufacturing.
11 Select appropriate cutter and cutting parameters for workpieces.
12 Have knowledge of basic measurement and quality control
13 Describes basic grammar rules of Turkish and a foreign language, attains basic English language skills.
14 Interpret social, economic, political and ideological conditions which have caused Turkish revolution; in accordance with Ataturk’s principles and reforms, and embrace the society, and adopt human ideals including love of home country, and national goals and aspirations.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can work as technicians in public institutions and private sector organizations operating in the relevant field, in production, maintenance and repair, assembly, quality and technical service units, and can also start their own businesses. They can transfer to related undergraduate programmes through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
