Additional Budget Support for Projects from Our University: A Ceremony was Held for Our Academicians Whose TÜBİTAK and TÜSEB Projects were Accepted

Our faculty members and researchers whose projects were accepted within the scope of TÜBİTAK and TÜSEB Project Programs were presented with plaques and symbolic gift certificates by our University Rector, Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar.

At the ceremony held on Tuesday, August 25th, plaques and gift certificates were first presented to our faculty members whose 2026 (announced in August) TÜBİTAK 1001 projects were accepted: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aydeniz Demir, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Yılmaz, Dr. Emrah Kırdök, Dr. Onur Etöz, and Lecturer Dr. Fadile Defne Yaldız, whose TÜBİTAK 3501 project was accepted, in the Rector's office.

Following this, in the University Senate Room; A large-scale meeting was held to present symbolic gift certificates to our faculty members whose TÜBİTAK 1001 and TÜBİTAK 3501 projects were accepted in 2026 (announced in January), 2025, and 2024, as well as those whose TÜSEB B1-01, B2-01, A4-A, A3-01, and A3-02 projects were accepted in 2026 and whose TÜBİTAK 1505 projects were accepted in 2024.

The meeting, organized to bring together our faculty members who contribute materially and morally to our university, was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk, our Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Caner Özdemir, and the academics who own the projects.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar: “We are planning to increase our support next year”

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar emphasized our university's goal of becoming a 'Research University'. Dr. Erol Yaşar, in his speech at the meeting, thanked those who contributed to the projects, saying, "The value you have added to our university and your contributions to our development are invaluable. On behalf of myself and the university, I thank you all very much. Under the leadership of our Research Dean's Office and our Vice Rectorate, we have launched a veritable mobilization. We know our shortcomings and are constantly making plans on how to turn these shortcomings into strengths. Your success and valuable work will increase the motivation of our other colleagues as well. As the Rectorate, we started with 1 million TL in financial support this year, and we hope to increase it even more next year. When we look at our graph, there is always an upward trend; this is extremely pleasing."

Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk: "Our Successes Will Increase Even More With the Development of Our Scholarship Students"

Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk also stated that the support provided has had a positive impact on the number of applications, saying, "We clearly see the effect of the incentives and support provided by our esteemed Rector to the projects in the increasing number of applications. I hope that this success will increase exponentially in the coming years thanks to the competitive environment you have created and the scholarship students you will train. Your contribution, as experienced professors, is extremely important not only for international projects but also for the funds provided to our University."

Our Research Dean Prof. Dr. Özdemir: "The Support Provided by Our University is a Lifeline for Projects"

Our Research Dean Prof. Dr. Caner Özdemir stated that academics who produce projects are the driving force of the University, saying, "Our goal is to increase the number of our professors in the project application phase. First of all, I would like to thank our Rector very much; because he is providing us with support that no other university has. In addition to the support received from TÜBİTAK, the extra 1 million TL support from our University is like a 'lifeline' for items not supported in the projects and provides an important infrastructure. In the coming period, we are also focusing on European Union projects. We have formed a team of approximately 50 people. We aim to participate more in these projects with our international networks and increase our success rates."

Following the speeches, symbolic gift certificates were presented to the faculty members who were awarded support for their Research Projects.
