MEU Chip Lab Takes First Place in Turkey at TEKNOFEST 2026

The MEÜ Chip Lab team, founded by students in our department, achieved a significant success at the TEKNOFEST 2026 Chip Design Competition. Competing in the Microcontroller Design Category, our team earned the highest score among the participating teams from Turkey and placed second in the overall rankings.

Under the guidance of Assistant Professor Hakan İşıker, the MEÜ Chip Lab completed the evaluation stages with a total score of 87.65 and was awarded second place. Through the rigorous competition process—which evaluated various aspects such as design, verification, presentation, demonstration, and chip flow—our team successfully represented our department, our university, and Mersin with the ranking it achieved.

Having previously won an honorable mention in the same competition, the MEÜ Chip Lab took its success to new heights this year by securing first place in Turkey and second place overall. This achievement not only highlights our students’ expertise in chip design and microelectronics but also showcases the progress of our ongoing research efforts.
