New Study Hall and Social Areas Opened for Our University's Medical Students

The 120-seat Study Hall, designed to support the educational processes of our university’s Faculty of Medicine students, enhance opportunities for individual study, and create a more conducive learning environment, was officially opened with a ceremony held on Tuesday, September 29.
The opening ceremony was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar; our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk; the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murat Ünal; our Chief Medical Officer, Prof. Dr. Ali Kaya; our University Secretary General, İsa Değirmenci; associate deans; department heads; faculty members; administrative staff; and a large number of students.
“We Are Always There for Our Students”
Speaking at the opening ceremony, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, noted that medical education is a demanding process requiring hard work, discipline, and dedication. Stating that improving the quality of education provided at the Faculty of Medicine is among the university administration’s top priorities, Prof. Dr. Yaşar emphasized that the Rector’s Office is always there to support students in ensuring they have better educational conditions. Highlighting the importance of creating a suitable environment for students to study and prepare for exams, Prof. Dr. Yaşar noted that the 120-seat Study Hall will make a significant contribution to students’ academic lives. Prof. Dr. Yaşar thanked all academic and administrative staff, particularly the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murat Ünal, for their efforts in preparing the hall.
Physical Facilities Are Being Enhanced
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Murat Ünal began his remarks by thanking our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, for his support of the faculty. Noting that medical education requires intensive and consistent study, Prof. Dr. Ünal highlighted the importance of developing physical facilities to support the educational process. Stating that the new study hall will greatly contribute to students’ processes of studying, reviewing course material, and preparing for exams, Prof. Dr. Ünal noted that efforts will continue to further enhance the quality of education and instruction at the faculty. Prof. Dr. Ünal extended his gratitude to everyone who supported the preparation process and the opening ceremony, particularly our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar.
Visit to Common Areas Following the Opening
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held after the speeches, was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murat Ünal, along with Faculty Student Representative Cihan Dursun and First-Year Student Representative Betül Günaydın.
After the ribbon-cutting, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yaşar, and his delegation toured the 120-seat Study Hall to inspect the students’ new environment. Following the opening program, Prof. Dr. Yaşar also visited the new student dining hall and cafeteria, which have been made available to students on the Faculty of Medicine campus. While chatting with students there and listening to their views and suggestions, Prof. Dr. Yaşar emphasized that steps to improve the physical facilities supporting students’ academic lives, social lives, and daily needs would continue.
