Online Mentor Training Held at Our Vocational School of Health Services

A comprehensive mentor training program was organized at the Mersin University Vocational School of Health Services prior to the 2026-2027 academic year fall semester, with the aim of strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and the quality of practical training.

The training, held online on September 17, 2026, was attended by coordinators and faculty members from all programs within the Department of Medical Services and Techniques and the Department of Health Care Services, as well as the program mentors who will guide our students in practical training settings.

The presentation regarding the mentor training was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Serdar Ulak, Deputy Director of the Vocational School of Health Services. The meeting covered the general structure of the school, active programs, operational procedures at the healthcare institutions where clinical and field practices take place, and the legal framework governing course-related practical training. Discussions focused on monitoring student practical training processes, the scope of practice, and the criteria and evaluation forms used to assess practical training activities; the mentors' views and questions were also addressed.
