Orientation Excitement at the Faculty of Communication

As part of the Mersin University Faculty of Communication orientation program, an introductory meeting for first-year students was held in the Faculty Amphitheater on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by Prof. Dr. Aslıhan Ardıç Çobaner, Dean of the Mersin University Faculty of Communication. Subsequently, Vice Deans—who also serve as department heads—Assoc. Prof. Dr. Filiz Ülken, Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Özsoy Taylan, Head of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, shared detailed information regarding the faculty and their respective departments.

During the remainder of the program, faculty members and administrative staff met with the students and introduced themselves. Students were provided with essential information regarding university life, faculty courses, academic procedures, and internal operations.

The introductory meeting helped students become better acquainted with the faculty and its academic and administrative structure, gain insights into university life, and establish their initial connections with academic and administrative personnel.
