Orientation days were held on September 21–23 at Cumhuriyet Square on the Çiftlikköy Campus for our new students.

The orientation days were organized by the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of Health, Culture, and Sports, the Center for Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Research, and Practice, the Office of Library and Documentation, the National Technology Workshop, the Office of International Relations and Projects, the Career Center, MEÜ Radio, and the MEÜ Sports Club, as well as the Mersin Provincial Police Department, İŞKUR Mersin, the Mersin Provincial Health Directorate, AFAD Mersin, the Red Crescent, and our student clubs, the events drew significant interest from our students.

On the first day of the event, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet İsmail Yağcı and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk, along with our Rector’s Advisor Prof. Dr. Tuğba Yanpar, visited each booth one by one and took photos with the booth staff and students.

Colorful Activities and Peer Mentoring

Featuring DJ performances, fun obstacle courses, games, and informative and colorful booths, the event gave students the opportunity to speak directly with experts and our faculty members about topics they were curious about. During the orientation days, which also involved peer mentors, new students had the chance to gain detailed information about our University and get to know the campus area up close thanks to their more experienced peers.

Department Orientation Sessions Continue

As part of the orientation program, orientation sessions for first-year and preparatory-class students who have recently joined our University are continuing in their respective departments. These programs aim to help students become familiar with the opportunities offered by our University, socialize quickly, ease their transition to university life, and feel that the University administration stands by them through all its units.
