Students from Private Akdeniz Boğaziçi College Visited Our Museum

On September 25, 2026, at 09:00, the Marine Life Museum—affiliated with our Marine Sciences Application and Research Center (DEBİM)—was visited by 40 students from the 4/A and 4/B classes of the Private Akdeniz Boğaziçi College, accompanied by their teachers, Sibel İlhan and Mihriban Güllü. During the visit, information was provided regarding marine species inhabiting the Eastern Mediterranean, their lives in the aquatic environment, and the biodiversity of the region. Renovation and assembly work on the museum's whale specimen—specifically the vertebral column—had commenced in October 2025. The head and spine sections of the Fin Whale were shown to the students, and information about the species was shared. The visit, marked by the students' great interest and excitement, concluded with a question-and-answer session.
