Support for Project Success Continues at Our University: Ceremony Held for Academics with Accepted COST and TÜBİTAK 1005 Projects

Our university continues to encourage the success of its academics in national and international projects and to strengthen support mechanisms for researchers. In this context, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, presented symbolic gift vouchers to academics whose projects were accepted under COST Actions and the TÜBİTAK 1005 – National Research Support Program for New Ideas and Products.
The ceremony, held on Thursday, September 10, at the Rectorate, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk, Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Caner Özdemir, and the academics whose projects were accepted. During the ceremony, gift vouchers were presented to Prof. Dr. Aylin Altan Mete, whose COST project was accepted, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Erdoğan, whose TÜBİTAK 1005 project was accepted.
Project Support Continues with a Research-Oriented Vision
In line with its vision of becoming a research-oriented university, our university has recently implemented significant support mechanisms for project development and execution processes and continues to support its successful researchers. These incentives and support measures aim to facilitate more effective participation by our academics in national and international funding programs, foster the development of new project ideas, and increase the volume of high-quality research.
The participation of our researchers in COST Actions—a key tool for strengthening international scientific networks—enables them to forge new collaborations with scientists from various countries; meanwhile, researchers supported under the TÜBİTAK 1005 Program transform their innovative ideas and solutions into scientific outputs. Both activities make significant contributions to the development of our university's research ecosystem. Aiming to Foster a Project-Oriented Culture
As part of the initiatives coordinated by our University’s Research Dean's Office, academics receive support at various stages—ranging from identifying suitable funding sources and navigating project development and application processes to establishing national and international partnerships and managing project execution. Our University will continue its support for academics and its practices that encourage successful projects, with the aim of enhancing our researchers' capacity to generate projects and ensuring the sustainability of the achievements attained.
At the ceremony honoring academics who achieved success under COST and TÜBİTAK 1005 programs, hopes were expressed that the upcoming projects would make valuable contributions to our University, the scientific community, and society.
The ceremony concluded with a commemorative photograph taken to mark the occasion, following the presentations made to the academics.
