The Energy of the Future Meets Students: Enerjisa Education Truck Visits Mersin University

The Enerjisa Education Truck, launched to support qualified labor in the energy sector and provide university students with sectoral experience, met with students at Mersin University's Çiftlikköy Campus on December 4.

The educational event was attended by numerous students and academics from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering and the Electrical and Energy and Electronics and Automation Departments of the Technical Sciences Vocational School.

Throughout the day-long event, students listened to detailed presentations by Enerjisa's expert trainers on electrical grid systems, renewable energy technologies, and occupational health and safety standards. Thanks to the simulation tools and technical equipment inside the education truck, students had the opportunity to observe how the theoretical knowledge they learned in the classroom translates to the field.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ERİŞTİ, Head of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, emphasized that such collaborations are critical for post-graduation employment processes. Tayfun SEVİNDİK, Regional Manager of Enerjisa Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., expressed his satisfaction with the keen interest shown by Mersin University students and stated that they wanted to shape the future of energy with the dynamism of young people.

The following topics were highlighted in the training program:

  • Smart Grid Systems: The operation of the digitalizing energy infrastructure.

  • Work Safety Simulations: Modern techniques implemented with a zero-accident vision in the field.

  • Career Planning: New job opportunities and internship possibilities in the energy sector.

Following the technical presentations held on the education truck, the event moved on to the “Tech-Talk” organized by the IEEE Student Branch and held in collaboration with Enerjisa. The program featured presentations by Electrical and Electronics Engineer Coşkun Deniz Teran from Enerjisa and Aybala Kırım from the Human Resources Department, who met with the students.

Through the event, students had the opportunity to meet industry professionals and benefit from the sharing of knowledge and experience that will contribute to their professional development.
