We Hosted Batıkent Primary School at Our Museum

On September 29, 2026, students from classes 1/B and 1/C of Batıkent Primary School visited our Marine Life Museum. Accompanied by their teachers, Gülfer Uysal and Songül Kasar, the students were welcomed by our DEBİM Director, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ayas, and the DEBİM museum team.

Renovation and assembly work began at the museum in October 2025 after the whale's vertebral column was extracted. The students were shown the skull and spine of the Fin Whale and were given information about the species.

During the visit, information was provided regarding marine species inhabiting the Eastern Mediterranean, their lives in the aquatic environment, and the biodiversity of the region.

The visit, marked by the students' great interest and excitement, concluded with a question-and-answer session.
