MEDEK

The first steps of our association were taken with the encouragement and support of the Council of Higher Education (Y?K) within the framework of Turkey's strategic development plans to contribute to qualified workforce, in order to increase the qualifications of Vocational Schools and their graduates. With this motivation and with the support of our universities, the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK) was established in 2021. Our association received accreditation authority from the Higher Education Quality Board (Y?KAK) in 2023 for 83 Vocational School programs to ensure the evaluation of compliance of Vocational School programs with established standards, quality criteria, and performance measures.

Mission

To contribute to improving education and teaching quality by providing information, external evaluation, and accreditation services for associate degree programs.

Vision

To be a pioneering organization that certifies quality by defining the education, research activities/administrative processes of associate degree programs and the quality of intermediate workforce with national and international standards, and sharing the results with relevant institutions and organizations.

Purpose / Definition of MEDEK

To pioneer the training of professionals who follow professional developments, can respond to changing workforce needs, possess high professional skills and competencies, are innovative, can bear social responsibility, can take initiative, and possess qualifications sought by the relevant sector.
