Educational Objectives and Program Outcomes

Two (2) program Educational Objectives (EOs) have been defined, defining the career goals and professional expectations that our program graduates are expected to achieve in the near future:

EA 1. Our graduates work in technical and administrative positions in the R&D, production, sales and marketing, quality management, environmental management, energy management, digital transformation and data management, and occupational health and safety units of private and public institutions and organizations.

EA 2. Our graduates improve themselves in their chosen careers by participating in vocational and technical training, fairs and symposiums, management skills training, project management training, digital transformation training, personal development training, certificate programs, or postgraduate studies.

Our department has defined eleven (11) Program Outcomes (POs):

PO 1. Adequate knowledge of mathematics, science, and Chemical Engineering-specific subjects; the ability to apply theoretical and applied knowledge in these areas to solve complex Chemical Engineering problems.
PO 2. The ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex Chemical Engineering problems; the ability to select and apply appropriate analysis and modeling methods for this purpose.
PO 3. The ability to design a complex Chemical Engineering system, process, device, or product to meet specific requirements under realistic constraints and conditions; the ability to apply modern design methods for this purpose.
PO 4. The ability to select and use modern techniques and tools necessary for the analysis and solution of complex problems encountered in Chemical Engineering applications. Ability to use information technologies effectively
PO 5. Ability to design, conduct experiments, collect data, analyze, and interpret results to investigate complex Chemical Engineering problems or research topics specific to Chemical Engineering.
PO 6. Ability to work effectively on disciplinary and multidisciplinary teams; ability to work individually.
PO 7. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; knowledge of at least one foreign language; ability to write and understand effective reports, prepare design and production reports, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear and understandable instructions.
PO 8. Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; ability to access information, monitor developments in science and technology, and continuously improve oneself.
PO 9. Knowledge of ethical principles, professional and ethical responsibility, and standards used in engineering practice.
PO 10. Knowledge of business practices such as project management, risk management, and change management; awareness of entrepreneurship and innovation. Knowledge of sustainable development
PO 11. Knowledge of the global and societal impacts of engineering practices on health, the environment, and safety, as well as contemporary issues reflected in the field of engineering; awareness of the legal implications of engineering solutions.
