Historical Development
Our Computer Engineering Department was established in 1994;
it accepted its first students in the 1996-1997 academic year,
and graduated its first students in the 1999-2000 academic year.
Until 2006-2007, 30 students were admitted annually via ÖSS,
and double major and minor programs were started from 2005-2006 onwards.
In our department, where undergraduate students were not admitted between 2007-2015 by YÖK (Council of Higher Education) decision, admissions resumed from 2015-2016
and a 30% English education model has been applied since 2016-2017.
Our Mission
- To raise our department's education and training programs to world standards by continuously renewing content based on current technologies and integrating theory and practice.
- To implement an education model that develops our students' research, inquiry, and production skills, and supports hardware, software, and project experience through active learning methods.
- To educate engineers who adhere to professional ethical principles, embrace lifelong learning, and are sensitive to national issues.
Our Vision
To be a department recognized nationally and internationally in the field of computer engineering, developing innovative technologies, and training qualified graduates who will transform these technologies into societal benefit.

Education Information
- Duration: Compulsory Preparatory Education + 4 years
- Language of Instruction: 30% English, 70% Turkish
- Graduation: Course load, 40 working days of internship, 2 graduation projects
