Dean's Message

Dear Youth,

Mersin University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in addition to offering our students a quality education with its competent academic staff, also conducts scientific studies at the national and international level. In our programs, students are expected to think critically, open-mindedly, and deeply about ideas, people, communities, and societies of the past and present. Our most important goal is to prepare our students for a successful and exciting career by providing them with the intellectual accumulation and academic skills that will enable them to think freely, openly, and in detail, to conduct research, and to communicate.

In our faculty, course content is primarily designed for students' professional development and career planning. In this regard, special attention is paid to maintaining the relationship between current scientific studies and practice in our faculty. Our students can also benefit from educational opportunities provided through student exchange programs such as Erasmus, Mevlana, and Farabi, which are provided in accordance with bilateral agreements. With the double major and minor programs of our faculty's departments, successful students are offered the opportunity to obtain a second diploma or certificate.
