Mission

Our primary mission in art history education is to train competent art historians who produce ideas and projects, research, question, are equipped with artistic and cultural knowledge and values in the light of universal scientific values and contemporary teaching methods. 

To be a guide and to lead public opinion formation in the protection and transmission of cultural heritage with an ancient past in Turkey to future generations, its adoption and preservation.

Vision

To be a department that provides quality art history education at undergraduate and graduate levels; that is pioneering and forward-looking with its competent academic staff; that is open to development with contemporary information technologies, and that embraces every branch of art history.
