Dean's Message

Dear Youth,

As Mersin University Faculty of Science, we are proud to offer you a quality education with our competent academic staff that embraces the universal power and importance of basic sciences. Our faculty aims to train individuals who not only transfer knowledge but also question, research, solve problems, and make scientific thinking a way of life.

The departments of Biology, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in our faculty offer comprehensive educational programs aimed at understanding nature, the universe, and numerical thinking. In these departments, it is aimed for our students to gain the skills to deeply understand natural phenomena, scientific principles, and mathematical models and to evaluate them with a critical perspective.

Our goal is to prepare you for a strong career by equipping you, the youth, with the knowledge and skills that will shape not only today's but also tomorrow's scientific world. Our course contents are planned to include laboratory and applied work in addition to theoretical knowledge.

Our students have the opportunity to gain scientific experience in different cultures through student exchange programs such as Erasmus, Mevlana, and Farabi. Additionally, they can enrich their academic profiles by gaining an interdisciplinary perspective through Double Major and Minor programs.

Dear Youth, we see you as young researchers and scientists who will shape the future in the light of science. Remember that the future is shaped by science and built with your determination. We would be very happy to see you as a part of the Faculty of Science family.

We embrace you all with love and wish you success in your educational journey.
