Mission and Vision

Purpose:  The aim of the undergraduate education in the Department of Mathematics is to educate students who have basic mathematical knowledge and to prepare students who aim to pursue graduate studies in this direction. 



Vision:  To be a nationally and internationally recognized department with its academic structure that takes a leading role in education and training, always maintains a culture of innovation, and conducts studies on new research areas that emerge by adapting to developing technology.

 

Mission:  The mission of the Mathematics Department is to continuously update the undergraduate curriculum to meet the needs of the times, aiming to instill fundamental mathematics and mathematical thinking through compulsory courses and to offer students the opportunity to develop themselves in line with their career goals through a wide range of elective courses. Furthermore, our department provides students with a wide range of knowledge sharing opportunities through collaborations with universities abroad through the Erasmus program and with universities within Turkey through the Farabi program. In addition to mathematical development, various seminars, conferences, and workshops are organized for students to enhance their personal development and mathematical culture. Furthermore, academic seminars held within the department facilitate student participation in national and international symposiums, fostering communication between students and academic staff, thus facilitating collaborative work
