The educational objectives (EO) of the Physics Department undergraduate program are listed below.

EO 1. To provide the opportunity to acquire the ability to understand the processes related to the functioning of the universe.

EO 2. To train physicists who have the knowledge and skills to work in the fields of science and technology as well as research and development.

EO 3. To train graduates who are competent in the field of physics and ready for graduate education.

EO 4. To train creative, research-oriented, and principled graduates who can produce scientific knowledge, use it, and possess scientific ethics.

EO 5. To train graduates who believe that professional development is achieved through lifelong learning, are sensitive and open to scientific developments, are principled in professional matters, and can be effective in interdisciplinary studies.


Program Outcomes

1. Being able to recognize, understand, establish relationships between, formulate problems about, and propose solutions for physical events in the universe

2. Being able to learn the concepts and principles of Classical and Modern Physics

3. Being able to describe natural phenomena with mathematical knowledge, solve existing problems, and create theoretical models,

4. Being able to recognize current topics in the field of physics and follow current publications,

5. Being able to design and correlate experiments, perform data analysis and interpretation,

6. Being able to understand and present at least one advanced topic in the theoretical or experimental field,

7. Being able to express acquired knowledge and skills orally and in writing,

8. Being able to draw conclusions with analytical thinking ability,

9. Being able to use technological devices in applications and recognize programs that provide computer control of these devices,

10. Being able to establish relationships between different disciplines and one's own discipline,

11. Being able to acquire lifelong learning ability in accordance with needs,

12. Being able to use advanced computer software required by the field along with information and communication technologies

13. Being able to conduct studies within the framework of ethical standards,

14. Being able to act in accordance with and participate in quality management and processes, and having sufficient awareness on occupational health and safety issues
