Classes are held in classrooms suitable for class capacity, and all classrooms are equipped with projection systems. There is also a cafeteria where students can spend their free time. The Computer Skills and Applications course, included in our curriculum, is taught in a hands-on classroom by our instructor. This allows students to practice. Our faculty has 31 projectors and 128 computers for student use.
In addition to educational activities, our university also offers indoor sports halls, gymnasiums, football, basketball, and volleyball courts, a mini golf course, indoor semi-Olympic swimming pools, and tennis courts for students to participate in. These sports fields provide ample opportunities for sports activities. A shopping mall is located on the Çiftlikköy Campus, meeting the social needs of students and academic staff. This center, which has been operating since 2000, features: There are various social areas for students and staff, including a bookstore, restaurant, cafeteria, bank, men's hairdresser, stationery store, and market.
Our students have the opportunity to register for courses online, update their grades, and view their grades through the Student Information System (ÖBS), while our faculty members can verify course registrations and enter grades. Furthermore, the Personnel Information System (PBS) allows university staff to track their personnel and staff information. Furthermore, students and alumni are regularly monitored for academic developments through mass email notifications sent through the Proliz system.
Our students can search all resources, browse catalogs, and search e-publications through our university library website. They can easily navigate these searches by consulting the user guide. Our students can access specialized and supplementary books through the Mersin University library. Mersin University uses the Academic and Open Access Information System (AXSIS). This system contains 4,674 publications.
Mersin University uses IP address restriction to access subscription-based online academic databases. Users wishing to access these databases from outside the university can connect to them using a proxy server. Mersin University students, academic staff, and administrative staff can benefit from this service. To use this system, users must have activated their university email accounts. Detailed instructions for connecting to the remote access system are provided on our university website. These procedures are also illustrated with images for the convenience of our students.
