Overview
Mersin University's Department of Public Finance, founded in 1992, began education with 30 students in the 2005-2006 academic year. In addition to our undergraduate program, we launched a thesis-based Master's Program in Finance in the 2015-2016 academic year, a PhD Program in Finance in the 2019-2020 academic year, and a non-thesis Master's Program (Second Education) in Finance in the 2020-2021 academic year. Our department offers the departments of Budget and Financial Planning, Financial Economics, Financial Theory, and Financial Law. The Department of Finance offers a wide range of career opportunities, primarily in the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, as well as in various ministries, public institutions, and various public and private banks. Graduates from our department have job opportunities in various ministries, public institutions, and various public and private banks. They can also become certified public accountants and financial advisors. Social, cultural and scientific activities organized in line with these goals contribute to the personal development of our department students.
