The Department of Geological Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering provides comprehensive education in the study of Earth materials, processes, and structures, and their application to engineering practice. Given Turkey's active tectonic structure and rich mineral resources, geological engineering is a strategically important discipline. The program offers in-depth training in engineering geology, soil mechanics, hydrogeology, seismology, and mining geology alongside fundamental earth science courses. Fieldwork and laboratory applications are integral parts of the curriculum.
