The Geological Engineering undergraduate program was granted accreditation by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (M??DEK) effective from May 1, 2012, valid until September 30, 2020, including re-evaluation and extension periods. Due to unfilled quotas and the cessation of quota allocations since 2016, there has been a decline in our student numbers. Considering that there would be no evidence to demonstrate that M??DEK criteria were being met, a re-application for the extension of the accreditation period could not be submitted.
