Experience Sharing with Our Faculty Members, Leading and Researching on TÜBİTAK and COST Projects
Our University's Institute of Health Sciences organized a panel titled "Experience Sharing with Our Faculty Members, Leading and Researching on TÜBİTAK and COST Projects" on December 23, 2020.
The panel, organized to raise awareness of national and international projects for graduate students and academics, was hosted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Moderated by Gülay Altun Uğraş, four panelists who take part in various projects at our university shared their experiences during this process with the audience. Prof. Dr. Belgin Büyükakıllı, who took part in the “ERNEST (CA18133- European Research Network on Signal Transduction)” project within the scope of COST, informed the participants about what COST is, how to participate, and the organizational chart. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gözde Gökçe İsbir, who took part in the action “COST 18211 Perinatal Mental Health and Birth-Related Trauma: Best Practice and Maximizing Optimal Outcomes”, shared her experience of representing our country as MC. Assist. Member Didem Derici Yıldırım provided information to graduate students and young researchers about the courses, workshops (Training Schools), research conferences, and short-term scientific missions they can benefit from within the scope of COST action supports. The final speaker of the panel, Assistant Professor Nail Can Öztürk, who has worked as a researcher/coordinator on four different TÜBİTAK 1001 type research projects in the field of neuroscience, shared his experiences during this process with the participants and reminded graduate students that they can also benefit from Erasmus opportunities.
The event, held live on the virtual platform, reached a large audience and concluded with questions and contributions from the participants.
2020-2021 Academic Year Meeting
On Friday, December 18, 2020, our Institute Director, Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Bahar Taşdelen held a meeting with our faculty members and graduate students registered with our Institute regarding the 2020-2021 Academic Year. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Bahar Taşdelen explained current regulations and updates to the Institute's website, and answered students' questions.
2019-2020 Academic Year Meeting
On October 24, 2019, Prof. Dr. Bahar Taşdelen, Director of the Mersin University Health Sciences Institute, held a meeting with master's and doctoral students regarding the 2019-2020 Academic Year in Hall C of the Uğur Oral Cultural Center. At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Bahar Taşdelen reminded students of important points to consider throughout their studies and provided information about the Graduate Education and Training Regulations. At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Bahar Taşdelen answered students' questions and wished them success.
