Overview

Mersin University's Department of International Relations, established in the 2015-2016 academic year, offers undergraduate and graduate programs. 30% of instruction is in English, with English courses offered each semester. In keeping with the interdisciplinary nature of the field, our students receive conceptual and theoretical training in International Relations, as well as courses covering fundamental topics in political science, history, law, and economics. Our strategic mission is to equip our students with the knowledge and skills to understand and analyze local, regional, and global developments in today's globalizing world. Our vision is to cultivate our students as responsible citizens who can think critically, solve problems, and be critical thinkers. Our faculty, experts in their fields, provide our students with a dynamic environment where they can learn, discuss, and analyze literature on a variety of topics.

In addition to our international student profile from various regions of the world, we offer our students the opportunity to study and work in multicultural environments through Erasmus student exchange and internship programs. Mersin, a coastal city on the Mediterranean with an international port and an international trade center, is an ideal location for both studying International Relations and enjoying student life. Our graduates can find jobs in the private and public sectors, as well as continue their education with postgraduate programs.
