Overview
The Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations at Mersin University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, was established in 1992 and began its academic activities in the 2010–2011 academic year with 30 students. The department consists of five divisions: Labour Economics, Management and Labour Sociology, Labour Psychology, Labour Law and Social Security Law, and Operations Research. Our department awarded its first graduates at the end of the 2013–2014 academic year.
With a total of nine academic staff members, the department continues its educational activities. As of the Fall semester of the 2018–2019 academic year, the Thesis Master’s Programme has been launched. Additionally, as of the Fall semester of the 2020–2021 academic year, student admissions began for the Non-Thesis Evening Master’s Programme in Social Policy and Social Services.
